Southwestern Ontario is under a winter storm warning as strong winds and snow move in today, Tuesday March 1st and  is supposed to continue tomorrow.


Hazardous winter conditions are expected. Snow, heavy at times, is expected . The snow earlier today and has intensified with the heaviest amounts of snow forecast for tonight.

Total snowfall amounts near 25 cm are likely by Wednesday morning. Strong northeasterly winds will also produce blowing snow especially in exposed areas due to gusts of 50 to 70 kilometres per hour.

Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow.
