Spring is just around the corner and, with it, comes the 5th annual Tree Sale in Saugeen Shores .

The unique subsidized tree program was established so that Saugeen Shores residents can acquire mature trees at a reduced cost, thanks to the sponsorship of Bruce and Everest Nurseries.

The purpose of the sale each year is to extend the urban tree canopy throughout Saugeen Shores for cleaner air and a healthier environment. Trees for Saugeen initiated the program to have more residents be able to afford mature trees.

From 10ft. Sugar Maples to Red Oaks, White Spruce, Lindens and more, it is an opportunity to purchase healthy trees that are already grown.

For those who may find it difficult to transport and plant mature trees, the 'Get Outdoors Youth Club' will be lending a helping hand in delivering and planting.

Trees must be pre-ordered and pre-paid by April 22nd through the Town Office at 519-832-2008.
