The Kincardine District Secondary School (KDSS) Kinetic Knights Robotics FIRST Team 781 will soon be off to the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics World Championships in St. Louis, Missouri.

The Knights team consists of approximately 50 youth ages 14 to 19 with mentors from the community and Bruce Power.

 At the end of the April, the Knights will joust against more than 50 teams from across Canada, the United States and beyond.

At the recent Kincardine & District Chamber of Commerce Community Achievement Awards Gala, the Team represented by Lana Splettstoesser, received several donations for its upcoming competition.

Marriott Town Place Suites donated door prizes that were auctioned off by MP, Ben Lobb and the top bidders were Tabatha and Mike of Devlyn Designs, Erin MacDonald, RBC Mortgage Specialist and Linda Bowers, Broker  with Royal LePage Exchange Realty Co.

The Knights will also be holding a fundraising spaghetti dinner and silent auction on April 17th at the Kincardine Legion at 6:00 p.m. and, then on April 20th, they will participate in Celebrity Server Night at Kincardine Boston Pizza beginning at 6:00 p.m.
