The Kinetic Knights recently attended their sixth annual FIRST Robotics World Championships after winning the 2016 Buckeye Regional.

The trip depends on donations and the students succeeded in raising $14,000 between March 19th to April 26th through fundraising events and donations.

At the World's, the team placed in one of eight divisions called Tesla where they competed against 74 other teams.  They won three out of 10 matches and ended up in 62nd place but did not make it to the finals.

Despite the team's finish, it had the opportunity to attend many conferences hosted by other teams, companies, professionals and top schools, such as MIT.

According to Lana Splettstoesser of the FIRST Team 781 Kinetic Knights, the team hopes to take what it has learned from other teams and professionals and apply to improving its own performance.

The team will be hosting its annual Donor Appreciation Event in June along with a fundraising garage sale June 3rd to 5th and outreach to local schools.
