It was a full house for a 'Tribute to Rock'

A big opening number by the school Glee Club ...

... and no rock concert is complete without lights

The music was written and composed decades before the students of École Port Elgin Central School (EPECS) were ever born, but you would never know it by their performance at the recent 'Tribute to Rock' concert.

From the Beatles to Elvis, the band and breakout ensembles had it covered. The evening began with film clips of the Beatles and for parents and grandparents in the audience, it was a trip down memory lane.

You know it's gonna be a rockin' time when 'Gene Simmons of KISS' meets you at the door!

(a.k.a. Andy Bernard with Nicole Hunter)

I know I Iook good ... and wait'll you hear me play!

In true 'hippie' style Straight from 'Carnaby Street'! (maybe too young for the reference?)

All the funds raised go back into the music program and, following the concert, 44 of the band musicians were off to Ottawa to compete in the National Band competition.
