Poodle skirts and ankle socks were all the rage!

If you didnít get to the Legion 50ís and 60ís dance on Saturday April 30th, you missed a good one. The band, Little Peter and the Elegants, are an amazing group of musicians and singers who kept the dance floor hopping from their first song to their last.

There were people from as far away as Barrie who came to hear them again after having heard them play elsewhere.

The dance floor was filled

We have been inundated with compliments from those who attended, as well as requests to get them back. We hope to be able to have the band back in the not too distant future, but since they are very popular we are not yet sure just when that will be, but we will be have them return.

On to upcoming events Ė

Meat draws are held every Saturday with the first draw at 3 pm. On June 4th there will be a mega meat draw in the hall featuring meat for the barbecue as well as the regular meat. It will be held in the hall due to the normally high number of attendees, and will start at the regular time of 3 pm for the first draw. There will also be a raffle for a mini fridge and gift certificates. More to follow on the raffle.
