Men of Bruce County are once again being invited to put on a pair of women’s heels for charity. This fundraising walk is a fun opportunity for men to take the pledge to end gender violence, rape and sexual assault.

Bruce County walkers will take the pledge Sunday, May 29th at the Queen’s Bar & Grill in Port Elgin, and will proudly march up the main street in red high heels. If you wish to be part of this impactful charity walk, register today!

The proceeds of ‘Walk a Mile in Her Shoes®- Bruce County will benefit the shelter and programs in Kincardine, including Second Stage Housing Units in Kincardine, Port Elgin and Wiarton.

Last year, grandfathers, fathers, sons and daughters marched proudly up the main street. The conversations that took place at the event about why they were walking were powerful and so important. Important because it's critical to open communication about sexualized violence. While hidden away, sexualized violence is immune to cure. The conversations were honest and organic- truly raising awareness and having impact.

We are looking for community minded men who are brave enough to walk a mile in a pair of women’s heels to bring awareness to the need to end violence against women. We supply the shoes and it is a fun family day for all.
