Rash of break and enters in the village of Ripley

On May 13, 2016, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received reports of break ins at 3 businesses overnight in the village of Ripley.

Courtney Farm Supplies on Huron Street in Ripley was forcibly entered during the overnight hours of May 12/May 13, 2016.  A quantity of cash and coin was taken from the office area.

All About Hair on Huron Street in Ripley was forcibly entered during the overnight hours of May 12/May 13, 2016.  A quantity of cash was taken from the office area.

Stockyards Western Apparel on Huron Street in Ripley was forcibly entered during the overnight hours of May 12/May 13, 2016.  A quantity of cash and a White Ipad mini with a red case were taken from the office area.

 The South Bruce OPP is continuing to investigate these break ins with the assistance of the South Bruce OPP Crime unit and the OPP Forensic Identification unit.

The South Bruce OPP is requesting anyone with information that can assist police to call 1-888-310-1122.

On May 29, 2016 at 3:16 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a possible impaired driver in a Grey Mustang along Highway 21 in Bruce Township. 

Officers located the vehicle and found that the driver had been drinking alcohol.  A 33-year old male of London has been charged with impaired driving, operate over 80 milligrams and refuse breath sample.  He is scheduled to appear in court on June 29, 2016 to answer to the charges.
