From April 15 to 17, 2016, the Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was thrilled to take numerous students from the Bruce Peninsula Detachment area to Tim Horton’s Onondaga Farms in St George, Brant County.

It was a fun-filled weekend including activities from caring for new baby bunnies, to a ropes course, archery, crafts, talent night, group challenges and lots of amazing food.

The weekend was organized through Media and Community Safety OPP Officer, Constable Ken Johnston from Brant County.

“It was amazing watching kids from all over come together and have such a great experience. I can’t thank Tim Hortons' camp Onondaga staff and all the OPP volunteers enough for making this an experience that these kids will never forget,” said Johnston.

Community Services Officer, Provincial Constable Katrina Rubinstein-Gilbert stated, “It was my first time attending a Tim Hortons' Camp and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. It was a great opportunity to spend time with a great group of kids.  It was wonderful to see our local students thrive, making new friends and taking on all of the challenges with enthusiasm."

We are also very appreciative to Tim Hortons and Hepworth Tim Hortons for stocking the bus with drinks and treats and to Provincial Constable Ken Johnsston who made this all happen," adds Rubinstein-Gilbert. "The countless hours that went into planning this event resulted in an unforgettable weekend. I look forward to taking another roster in the near future. Plus, I want to go back to camp!”
