Student brings home silver from Skills Canada National Competition

Bluewater District School Board was once again represented in fine fashion at the Skills Canada National Competition, which was held this year from June 3rd to 8th in Moncton, New Brunswick.

Kincardine District Secondary School (KDSS) grade 11 student Declan Mowle was the silver medalist for all of Canada in the category of Outdoor Power and Recreational Equipment!

Mowle was accompanied at the competition by his shop teacher Bryan Derksen.

His advancement to the national level was preceded by a gold medal finish at the Ontario Technological Skills Competition in Waterloo earlier in the spring.
