The South Bruce OPP recommends that vehicle owners/operators consider the Lock it or Lose it theft prevention tips to help protect their property:

  • Always roll up your vehicle’s windows, lock the door and pocket the key

  • If you have a garage, use it.  Lock the door and the vehicle

  • Always park in a well-lit area

  • Never leave valuable objects in plain view.

Theft is a crime of opportunity that you can help control; Lock it or Lose it.

Suspicious vehicles and suspicious people should be reported to police as soon as possible so that an officer can investigate.
