Legion lends helping hand to school band

The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #155 of Southampton recently donated funds to G. C. Huston Public School (Southampton).

Legion President, Marilyn Noble, presented a cheque in the amount of $2,600 to Music Teacher, Meryl Gilmore.

Gilmore said that the monies are very much appreciated and will be used to purchase musical instruments for the band.
