Artists Ellen Brown, Shannon Delorme, Bernice Kaghee show off their pieces created for the auction, opening July 15, at the Museum
Artists of Saugeen First Nation have come together to create a travelling exhibit in support of the Saugeen Red Tree Program.
Opening at the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre on July 15th, the exhibit will be on display in the main lobby until July 30th.
Visitors are invited to come view and bid on the art inspired by the "7 Grandfather Teachings and the Land".
All art has been created by members of the Saugeen First Nation. Pieces vary and include paintings, traditional quill boxes, dream catchers, fans and much more.
Proceeds from the exhibit benefit the Saugeen Red Tree program, which focuses on food security and working education through Community and Forest gardening.
A portion of the bids for each piece are gifted to each artist in appreciation of their artistry.
Visitors are invited to attend the opening of the show on July 16th at 10 a.m. at the Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre (Southampton).
Those who bid on the various pieces, are encouraged to follow the Saugeen First Nation Facebook Page where updates will be given to track the progress.
This exhibition is proudly presented by Saugeen First Nation and funding support from Community Foundation Grey Bruce, with printing and graphic design support from Bruce Power.
