When it comes to cancer care, there are many things that are not covered by the provincial health care system (OHIP) or many personal benefit programs.

There are wigs, prosthetics, travel expenses, child care, hospital parking costs, food and household bills to name a few.

Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation helps by raising funds that help breast cancer patients in Canada for those things that are necessary for quality of life.

Formerly known as 'The Snow Run for Fun Trust', it was formed by Kelly Shires and friend Suzy Stenoff after Shires was diagnosed with breast cancer.

After losing her eight-year battle with the disease, Stenoff and volunteers continued raising funds for women going through treatment and having unforeseen expenses.
