The Historic Saugeen Métis are about to host the 8th Annual Rendézvous in Southampton.

The annual event held in Pioneer Park at the mouth of the Saugeen River, features all things Métis.

From fiddle music and dancing to crafts and traditional demonstrations, the Rendézvous tells the story of the Métis people in the early days of the fur trade.

The event is held from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on August 6th and will also feature renowned fiddler Shane Cook and Friends, along with the popular annual delicious deep-fried lake whitefish on a bun.

Admission is FREE and, if it's a rainy day, no problem ... the event will be held in the Southampton Curling Club.
