Picnic in the Park

On Wednesday, July 27th, Southampton Rotary met in Perkins Park where they held their weekly meeting as a summer BBQ.

The group has created and maintains the park that is located on McNabb Street and Hwy. 21 in Southampton and that features butterfly gardens, a picnic pavilion and accessible washrooms.

Rotary President, John Conlin, brings members up to date

One group prefers to ... take a break ... while others take a tour of the park and gardens

While the Park in summer is a popular spot for residents and visitors alike to simply take a shady rest or have a picnic, at Christmas time, the Rotarians create a winter wonderland of lights, a giant Christmas tree and Santa's North Pole toyland.

Each year, the Rotarians continue to make changes that add to the park's natural beauty.
