Public Health continues to advise that Lake Rosalind and the interconnected Marl Lake not be used for swimming or as a source of water for drinking, cooking, bathing or showering.

Results from blue-green algae samples taken from Lake Rosalind and Marl Lake on August 22nd by the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change tested positive for the presence of mycrocystins (toxins).

Domestic water treatment and/or boiling do NOT provide protection from blue-green algae toxins. PETS should also be prevented from entering the water and fish caught from the lakes should not be consumed.
