South Grey Health Centre (SBGHC) is about to received a $3 million Exceptional Circumstance Grant for infrastructure renewal in 2016 - 2017.

The SBGHC applied to the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care for the grant earlier in 2016 to address the significant need for infrastructure upgrades at its Kincardine site.

The funding will be used to begin replacing boilers, chillers and other essential equipment.

"We are very pleased to receive this funding and timing is critical," explains Paul Rosebush, SBGHC President and CEO.  "Some of the major infrastructure at our site will shortly be at end of life.  This substantial grant will allow us to keep the Kincardine hospital fully operational to serve our patients."

An additional $477,269 in one-time funding was also allocated through the Health Infrastructure Renewal Fund (HIRF) for facility projects across the entire organization.
