Crime Stoppers is a civilian community organization devised to acquire information that assists law enforcement agencies in the resolution of crime.

The South Bruce OPP received a break and enter report at a housing complex in Kincardine. Sometime between 8:00 a.m. on September 9th and 11:30 a.m. on September 23rd, a housing complex office and board room located on Campbell Avenue were forcibly entered. A clock, tea pot, and a quantity of cash were taken. The value of the stolen items is estimated to be more than $250.00.

The South Bruce OPP received a report of the thefts of ATVs in Brockton. Sometime between 6:00 p.m. on September 22nd and 7:45 a.m. on September 23rd, an outbuilding on a property in the 1400 Block of Bruce County Road 19 in Brant Township was entered. The list of stolen property includes a red 300 cc Suzuki LTF ATV, a red 350 cc Honda TE070 ATV, and an orange Echo CS590-20 chainsaw. The value of the stolen property is estimated to be more than $4,700.00.

The South Bruce OPP received a report of mischief to a Kincardine business. Sometime between 12:00 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. on September 22nd the store front glass of the New Seasonís restaurant, located in the 700 block of Queen Street, was smashed.

Crime Stoppers of Grey Bruce is looking for good self-motivated volunteers for their organization.

 Crime Stoppers is a community based program that combines the police, the media and the public in a combined effort to solve crime in our neighbourhoods.

Since inception in 1987, tips to Crime Stoppers of Grey Bruce have resulted in over 1,550 arrests as well as the seizure of over $51.8 Million in illegal drugs and stolen property.

Crime Stoppers is now accepting applications from individuals who wish to sit on the Board of Directors or volunteer on a casual basis.
