Drug warrant results in several charges against four individuals

On November 10, 2016, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau Drug Enforcement Unit, assisted by the Tactics and Rescue Unit, West Region Emergency Response Team, South Bruce OPP, and Hanover Police executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence on Cardinal Street, in the Municipality of Brockton.

As a result of the execution of the search warrant, Police seized methamphetamine, heroin, fentanyl, morphine, cocaine, cannabis marihuana, and cannabis resin.   The estimated, combined street value of the seized controlled substances is $30,000. 

Police also seized offence related property that consisted of drug trafficking paraphernalia, cash, 1 prohibited weapon, ammunition, an expandable baton, 2 replica pellet pistols, a stolen motorcycle, and a stolen IPad.

Police arrested and have charged two females ages 23 and 27 and two males ages 28 and 47 with several offences including: possession of methamphetimine, fentanyl for purposes of trafficking, heroin for purposes of trafficking, possession of cocaine and morphine, possession of cannabis, possession of stolen property and prohibited weapons, among others.

The accused were held in custody pending the results of bail hearings. The South Bruce OPP is requesting anyone with information that can assist police to call 1-888-310-1122.

On November 12, 2016 at approximately 11:17 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a break-in to a residence on Concession 4 in the Township of Chatsworth. Sometime between Wednesday, November 9th and Friday, November 12th, unknown person(s) forcibly entered the residence and stole a number of items.  The list of stolen property includes an archery crossbow, a Confederate flag, a paintball gun, 3 air riffles and a machete. Police continue to investigation. Anyone with information which may assist is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
