Deceased woman recovered from Kincardine Harbour

On November 15, 2016 at 3:53 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a vehicle entering the waters of Lake Huron from the north pier of the Kincardine Harbour.   

The OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit (USRU) along with the South Bruce OPP Marine Unit located the vehicle.  It was removed from the water by a local crane today, November 16, 2016 at 2:54 p.m.

The deceased body of a 67-year-old Kincardine woman was also recovered from the water.  Foul play is not suspected.  

The South Bruce OPP is requesting anyone with information that can assist police to call 1-888-310-1122.

On November 13, 2016 at 12:31 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of damage done to telephone pedestal box at the corner of Bruce Avenue and Mahood-Johnston Drive in Kincardine. 

Officers attended and noted extensive damage done to the box.  Fluids were left at the scene indicating that the involved vehicle was damaged also.  The repairs of the pedestal box are estimated to be more than $2,000.

The South Bruce OPP is requesting anyone with information that can assist police to call 1-888-310-1122.
