Police searching for wanted male

Members of the South Bruce County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the South Bruce OPP Crime Unit are attempting to locate a wanted male.

Twenty-four-year-old Shawn OEHRING of Hanover is described as a white male, being 5’ 7” tall, weighing 140 pounds with light brown wavy hair and brown eyes. 

He is currently wanted for assault with a weapon, 2 counts of theft, possess break-in instruments, 2 counts of fail to comply with recognizance and possess a controlled substance.

Investigators would like anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts to contact the OPP immediately by dialing 911 or their nearest police authority. 

No attempt should be made to apprehend him.

Thefts include a Break & Enter

On November 22, 2016 at 9:19 a.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a theft report from Heinz Auto Body located along Bruce County Road 10 in Brant Township.  Between 8:50 a.m. on November 22, 2016 and 9:10 a.m. on November 22, 2016, a White Silverado pick-up truck with Licence number 238 0MH was taken.  There is no estimate on the value of the stolen truck available at this time.

On November 21, 2016 at 8:06 a.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a break, enter and theft from the Sunrise Grill located along Queen Street in Kincardine.  Sometime between 3:00 p.m. on November 20, 2016 and 8:00 a.m. on November 21, 2016, the business was forcibly entered and a quantity of pop was taken.  The value of the stolen property is estimated to be $70. 

On November 21, 2016 at 10:31 a.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a theft report from a residence in the 800 block of Concession 7 in Kincardine Township.  Sometime between 11:00 p.m. on November 20, 2016 and 7:00 a.m. on November 21, 2016, a Honda CR85 dirt bike bearing the number 199 was taken.  The value of the stolen dirt bike is estimated to be $1,200.

The South Bruce OPP is requesting anyone with information that can assist police to call 1-888-310.1122.
