Grey Highlands had a large contingency

More young girls are considering going into the trades and, Skills Ontario hosted students from Grades 9 to 12 to enable them to meet with mentors in various fields.

The event was sponsored by Women in Nuclear (WIN), the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program of both the Bluewater District School Board (BWDSB) and Bruce-Grey Catholic School Board and UNIFOR.

Some 140 students from eight secondary schools (Saugeen District, Grey Highlands, Walkerton District, Bruce Peninsula, St. Mary's, Sacred Heart, Owen Sound DSS, John Diefenbaker) attended the event that was held on Tuesday, November 8th, at the UNIFOR Family Education Centre in Port Elgin.
