To the Editor:

Congratulations to Bill Streeter and the “Times” on a great reminder of one of the good times from our past.

This certainly was a huge event in Southampton’s  Centennial celebrations,  the whole of which were organized by an active committee chaired by R.W.(Ray} Cutting, with assistance from Johnny Brent of CKNX  Wingham.

 Another highlight of this show was the TV debut of our own Jerry Tasker on whose guitar a string failed.  Tommy Hunter came to his rescue by passing his own instrument to him which drew a friendly appreciative applause.
