UPDATE on County Road 4 Closure

On December 19, 2016, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) closed Bruce County Road 4 between Bruce County Road 19 and Bruce County Road 22 for a weapon involved family dispute investigation.

Members of the OPP West Region Emergency Response Team, OPP Canine Unit, OPP Negotiators and West Region OPP Tactical Rescue Unit assisted the South Bruce OPP with this investigation.  The accused was taken into custody without incident. A 24-year-old male of Brockton has been charged with 2 counts of fail to comply and possession of a firearm. This is an isolated incident.  There is no threat to public safety. The barriers have been removed and Bruce County Road 4 is open for traffic.

The South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has closed Bruce County Road 4 between Bruce County Road 19 and Bruce County Road 22 for a police investigation.  Motorists are asked to respect the closure and avoid the incident location. Police received a report of a family dispute involving a weapon at a residence in the 1100 block of Bruce County Road 4.  Tactical operations are underway in the area.  For safety reasons, residents are asked to remain inside and avoid the area. Further information will be released as it becomes available. The South Bruce OPP is requesting anyone with information that can assist police to call 1-888-310-1122
