Midget and Peewee teams come together with their banners

Midget girls with the coveted Silver Stick, medals and BB Championship banner

This past weekend, January 20th - 22nd, the Kincardine Midget Girls B Team and Peewee Girls B Team competed in the Women's International Silver Stick Tournament in Sarnia.

The Peewee Girls team battled through three periods of regulation time and one overtime period of 4 on 4 play before eventually succumbing to Sarnia in the 3rd overtime period of 3 on 3 in the championship game.

The Midget Girls went undefeated in the tournament with 1 tie and 2 wins in round-robin play.

After falling behind 1-0 in the semifinals, the team was able to grind out a 4-2 win.

In their final game, the girls lead from the start and came away with a 4-1 victory and Champions' medals.

As luck would have it, both teams played their championship games in the same building and at the same time, which had several parents keeping an eye on both games.

Pictured here are the Midget girls with the coveted Silver Stick, medals and BB Championship banner and best of all, both Peewees and Midgets together with their banners. Congratulations to both teams on fabulous weekend of Kincardine style hockey.
