Shoppers donates to Women's Health

Saugeen Memorial Hospital received a donation for Women's Health from Shoppers Drug Mart in Port Elgin on Friday, March 3, 2017

The funds were raised through customers donations of $1,670 that will go toward equipment specifically designated for women's ultra-sound.
Sterilization equipment

According to Hospital Foundation Executive Director, Sally Kidson, the funds will go toward the $25,000 cost of equipment that sterilizes ultra-sound probes. 

Formerly known as the 'Tree of Life' fundraising program, Shoppers campaign has a new name LOVE.YOU. at www.shoppersloveyou.ca .  The program is about "Putting Women's Health First" and helps women learn about the partnerships in women's health initiatives across Canada.

The annual campaign to 'Grow Women's Health', has raised over $29M since 2001 and, each store's pharmacist-owner choose a local charity to support to make a difference in his or her community.

Shopper's owner, Zafar Khan, in Port Elgin has again chosen the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation as his charity of choice, donating to Women's Health.
