It was standing room only when students from St. Joseph's school in Port Elgin strutted the runway in the latest fashions and prom wear.

The 'Dress to Impress' extravaganza held on Thursday, March 23rd, was organized by teacher, Mary Jane Hewitt, working with Port Elgin's Bicyclette Rouge Children's Boutique and Casual Corners and Brenda's Bridal Boutique of Tara.  Complete with hairstyles by Trends of Southampton, it was evening that the students will remember as the night they became 'runway models'.

The fashion event, a fundraiser for the school's Gr. 7-8 Waterloo 'technology' focused trip that will include a stop at Google Canada, raised approximately $1,500.
