Saugeen Shores annual tree sale has begun and is the opportunity for residents to purchase trees at reduced pricing.

There will only be three trees per household available and the sale is available to Saugeen Shores residents only, excluding landscaping companies.

Tree orders are being taken at the Municipal Offices at 600 Tomlinson Drive in Port Elgin from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and payment is required at the time of ordering.  The deadline for ordering is Friday, April 21st.

Tree pick-up will be on Saturday, May 6th at the town's Public Works Shop on Concession 6 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. (no exceptions).  The trees are mature and, therefore, residents are encouraged arrive with a truck or trailer to pick up their trees.

For those who may not be able to plant or who may not want to undertake the task, the Saugeen Shores Outdoor Youth Club will be available to deliver and plant trees for only $20 per tree.  Residents must pre-sign up for the service and will be contacted to arrange delivery time and payment details.

In past years, the trees have sold out quickly and  are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
