"It almost wouldn't be a Liv-A-Little event without some rain!" said Chad Little at the 6th annual Liv-A-Little Egg-stravaganza.

The day began on Saturday, April 15th, with rain but that didn't dampen the spirits of the many families that came out for the FUNdraising Easter egg hunt event.  Umbrellas and rubber boots were the dress-of-the-day but the fun was still there.

The annual event is a major FUNdraiser hosted by the Little family and the Liv-A-Little Foundation in its search for a cure for the condition known as Cystinosis ... Click Here , which their daughter Olivia has.

When they discovered the extremely rare condition that Olivia had, parents Erin and Chad Little, decided to embark on a major endeavour to find a cure.

They organized many fundraising events that have included the entire community and now the community has taken this on as a 'personal cause' to end this disease.

From a major annual golf tournament that has grown in numbers, 'paint the town purple' where residents and businesses adorn their buildings with purple bows/ribbons; Rowland's Independent Grocer that has become a major sponsor; BBQs; Valentine dances; figure skating galas to the Easter Egg-stravaganza ... the fundraising events have continued to grow.

A final amount raised at the Egg-stravaganza has yet to be determined but the next event, the 'Liv-A-Little Golf Classic is already in the planning to take place in September.
