Musher Lisa DeGennaro and team

Lisa DeGennaro of Port Elgin competed in the 19th annual Kearney Dog Sled races on February 8th and 9th in Kearney, Ontario.

DeGennaro and her team participated in the four-mile race on both Saturday and Sunday.

Despite this being her first year mushing and Kearney being her first competitive race, DeGannaro's combined times put in 6th place for the purebred category.

The team lead dogs Serby and Oden and wheel dogs, Tova and Finn can often be seen training around town (Saugeen Shores) and on local trails. Click Here to see more on DeGannaro and team
