Wednesday morning was another snow day for students in the Kincardine area.

Heavy snowfall and high wind which blew in Tuesday afternoon, pounded the area through the night and continued all day Wednesday.

The South Bruce OPP reported Highway 21 from Amberley to Port Elgin was closed at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, but by Wednesday morning, Highway 21 all the way from Southampton to Goderich was closed, due to blowing and drifting snow and poor visibility.

Highway 9 from Kincardine to Walkerton was closed by 10:14 p.m. Tuesday, also due to blowing and drifting snow and poor visibility, remained closed overnight. It was reopened by police at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.
