An island at Denny's Dam where there shouldn't be one

Water levels are down

With no rain in sight, water levels continue to drop.

The town has asked that people act responsibly and avoid outdoor watering and, yet, I have seen people washing their vehicles in their driveway, sprinklers running during the day, sprinklers that water lawns and adjacent roadway pavement.

Living next to a Great Lake, it seems that some of us tend to take water for granted.

Be careful folks ... farmers are saying they haven't seen the soil this dry in decades.  Waste not ... want not.
