Snow banks disappear

Personally, I feel that living in Saugeen Shores we are spoiled and, sometimes take for granted, our snow removal.

Public Works' staff are out at night clearing roads and the next morning sidewalks are taken care of.

On a recent trip to an urban centre (a.k.a. city) in southern Ontario, that shall remain unnamed, it was unnerving to say the least, to drive through built up snow and slush at main intersections, while I don't think sidewalks had ever been cleaned!

Hats off to the Saugeen Shores Public Works' staff ... they are second to none when it comes to keeping the community safe and clean in what sometimes seems impossible winter conditions.
