About 250 students and staff from Ripley-Huron Community School enjoyed the 23rd annual Christmas dinner held Wednesday, Dec. 18, at the Ripley-Huron Community Centre.
This time-honoured tradition began when teacher Barb Grubb and her Grades 7/8 students at Ripley District School served the first turkey dinner at Christmas time.
This year, the festive meal was served to students, staff, volunteers and bus drivers, as well as 76 take-out meals to business owners and others throughout the Village of Ripley.
Principal Graham Martin thanked Grubb, her Grade 8 students who served the meal, and all the parents and volunteers who helped make the dinner such a great success.
