Pictures often say far more than words and this is one of those times.     

The weather in southwestern Ontario is extreme and nowhere is it more so than throughout Bruce, Grey and surrounding counties on the lea side of Lake Huron.

Winds have been roaring all night long and are continuing today.  All roads are closed and police are asking everyone to stay home unless absolutely necessary.  Temperatures have fallen dramatically and, with the windchill aspect, are in the -30s.

A fairly new weather term for most people is a 'Polar Vortex' and that is what we are currently under.  What it means is a deepfreeze of Arctic air.
