Story Time & Craft – Join us in Kincardine for a fun, FREE preschool story time program including songs, games, stories and general silliness followed by a craft! Adults must stay for the program. Story Time & Craft runs at the Kincardine Branch on Thursdays at 1:30 p.m. and at the Tiverton Branch on Fridays at 11 a,m.

Saturday Stories – Join one of our student pages for some tales on Saturday mornings in the Kincardine Branch at 10:30 a.m.


Lug-a-Mug Book Club meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 2 p.m. January’s discussion is on “The Light Between The Oceans” by M.L. Stedman

Crazy for Classics Book Club meets the last Friday of every other month and is discussing “Alice In Wonderland” by Lewis Carroll on Jan. 31st at 2 p.m.

Kids and ‘Tween Book Club – Both book clubs for our younger patrons are on hiatus during the winter. We’ll re-start a new novel in March…watch for us then!


Fairytale Fun – Come to the Kincardine branch and enjoy some old favourites, or visit a classic for the first time! A fun program designed with older preschooler/Kindergarten-age children in mind with some stories, craft and discussions about a different classic tale. We’ll also look at a version written from an alternative point of view, and a film edition, if available! Please pre-register, at least one day prior. Space is limited.

Story Stretchers – Join the staff from the Ontario Early Years Centre (OEYC), Kincardine site, at the library as they present a fun evening of early literacy activities for our young friends. Appropriate for children under seven years of age No registration required for this FREE program that runs the first Tuesday of each month during the school year. Family Literacy Day – Jan. 27 is the perfect day to get your new library card! What better way to celebrate Family Literacy Day? Pop in to either branch any time during the week leading up to the big day or pick up your reading log….a prize for every completed form!!

PA Day – Come to either the Kincardine or the Tiverton branch for some Lego fun on Jan. 31.

Adult Matinee Movies – Back by popular demand, we are showing movies the first and third Tuesday of each month at Kincardine Branch and first  and third Thursday in Tiverton. Join us for a showing of “The Butler” on Jan. 7th & 9th.


Service Canada – Outreach office for Service Canada (10 a.m. to Noon; and 12:30-3 p.m.) is available as a service to our community at the Kincardine branch. These offices are drop-in services only and do not take appointments or phone calls while in our branch.

Knit Happens – An unstructured, informal opportunity for knitters and needlework enthusiasts, meets at the library for fellowship and fun while working on their projects. If you are interested in learning more or joining in, please contact the library or stop by on Friday mornings.
