A wind warning continues as strong winds gusting over 80 km/hr. sweep off Lake Huron into the region.

Last night, (Feb. 20/14) extremely heavy rains and high winds resulted in several power outages being reported due to downed wires throughout the region.

More than 300 homes reported a power outage in Sauble Beach with power not expected to be retored until this evening.

Homeowners were also concerned about the possibility of flooding due to the heavy rains on top of accumulated snow.

While temperatures were warmer over the past couple of days, the next few days will see a big difference as temperatures are expected to drop and take the region into another deep freeze of -20C at night with daytime highs hovering around -15C.
