Massive for a frog, the bullfrog can reach up to 15 cm in Canada, though in the southern parts of their range in the US, they can attain 20 cm. Their colour varies from green to brown on the back, some with spots, some without, and the belly is usually a mottled grey. Some populations in Ontario have suffered declines due to the demand for frog legs, so regulations have been implemented to limit the size of catches.
