Two new cats available for adoption at Cozy Cat Kennels

If you're looking for a friendly feline companion in your home, Helga Szekely has two beautiful cats available for adoption at Cozy Cat Kennels in Kincardine.

All cats are tested for FIV/FeLV (leukemia and feline AIDS), vaccinated, and micro-chipped; and spayed or neutered. There is a fee of $100 for each cat that is adopted, to help cover expenses.

"Spruce" is a long-haired male, one-and-a-half years old, with a wonderful disposition, friendly and cuddly; he requires grooming; found in a tree in Kincardine

"Lucky" is a one-year-old short-haired male, gentle, affectionate and friendly; found in Kincardine

"Blizzard" is a five-month-old female tortie-tabby, not yet available for adoption but being socialized; she was found on the 12th of Huron-Kinloss in a blizzard


A reminder that the annual Spay-ghetti Dinner and Silent Auction, in support of Cozy Cat Kennels in Kincardine and the Huron Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), will be held Saturday, March 29, at the Kincardine Legion.

Doors open at 5 p.m. (cash bar), with dinner at 6 p.m. Tickets are $15 each for adults, and $7 each for children; children under the age of five eat for free.

The dinner includes spaghetti with Caesar salad, garlic bread and dessert.

Proceeds go toward the cost to spay/neuter and care for rescue animals.
