Seventeen students and teacher Amanda Saxton participated in a 24-hour Thinkfast at St. Anthony's School, April 17.

For the 24-hour period, the group had only liquids, and some had a few spoonfuls of plain rice at lunch time.

A total of $565 was raised for Development and Peace.

Throughout the day, students were involved in a variety of reflection activities. They learned about the difference between charity and social justice, and how food and clean water are equally distributed among the world's population.

They broke the fast with a meal prepared and eaten together as a class.
