Bowman House depicts the elegance of a bygone era

Bowman House is one of the few Southampton historic homes that remains in its original form.

Exquisite scroll woodwork, pocket doors, stained glass, an historic grand piano and antiques galore retain the elegance of the bygone era when the home was built.

The home has remained in the Bowman family and, today, Glory Ann Bowman, not only maintains the history of the family home but has also opened it up to the public .

Exquisite artifacts from the 19th and 20th centuries

"I want people to be able to experience the artifacts and history of yesteryear when our home was built in the 19th century," says Bowman.  "I want to eventually open our home as a 'mini-museum' so that visitors can gain an appreciation of the lifestyle that once was."

The Bowman House and its antiques is open to visitors.
