Very powerful winds exceeding 100kmph at times, has resulted in many power outages throughout the afternoon and evening and that are expected to continue throughout southwestern Ontario during the night.

Looking eastward on the Saugeen River ....

With the wind out of the south, temperatures soared and in many locations broke existing records but they have been dropping steadily and rain is expected to turn to snow with squalls expected for the next three to four days.

The warm temperatures have made the ice upriver on the Saugeen River, that empties into Lake Huron, release making it look more like spring break-up.
