Weather has had an affect on the H.M.S. General Hunter shipwreck discovered on Southampton Beach in Southampton on Lake Huron.

Recent severe winds and the rolling waves of the lake have deposited an additional three feet of sand on top of the sand that was already there and has dislodged some of the protective barrier stone blocks that had been put in place.

The additional sand is a good thing for the shipwreck as is  the ice build-up on the stone barrier to protect it.
