Ed Lawrence is Coming to Hanover!

Gardening enthusiasts across Canada are, in all likelihood, very familiar with Ed Lawrence.

The former head gardener for the National Capital Commission, Lawrence was in charge of the gardens at Rideau Hall, the Governor-General’s official residence for six governors-general and Prime Ministers at 24 Sussex and Stornaway.

For over 20 years he has been the gardening expert featured on CBC Radio’s ‘Ontario Today’ phone-in.

Enthusiasm from listeners for his down-to-earth practical advice shows no sign of waning, making the Monday gardening hour one of the longest-running and most successful features in Canadian broadcast history.

On Tuesday, April 28, Ed Lawrence will be coming to the Hanover Library.  Sponsored by the Hanover & District Horticultural Society, ‘An Evening with Ed Lawrence’ will be taking place in the Civic Centre theatre.

Tickets are $10 and are available now at the library. Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity to meet Ed Lawrence – and bring your gardening questions! Contact: Norma Graham 519-364-1420.
