Fans and Friends of the Library enjoyed a question and answer time with the author

Fans lined up to have Kearsley autograph their editions of her recent novel

She was gracious, easy-going, funny and forthcoming with her thoughts which made for an entertaining afternoon with renown local author, Susanna Kearsley who has made the New York Times Best Selling list.

Kearsley returned to her 'home turf' at the Port Elgin Library on Saturday, May 21st, where she told of her many experiences in becoming a successful author and reminisced about her early childhood days in the the community.

It was also an opportunity for her many fans and literary followers to have her latest novel, 'A Desperate Fortune' personally 'authorgraphed'.

Kearsley recounted her technique for research that gives her novels their authenticity for historical detail.

The author also told of her early days spent in the Port Elgin Library and encouraged everyone to support Friends of the Library and their initiatives to ensure that the library continues.
