The loss of a beautiful maple tree

A severe summer storm that swept through southwestern Ontario on Saturday, August 2nd, resulted in strong winds and sheets of rain with hail in some cases.

A tornado was reported in the community of Tiviotdale and many felt in Saugeen Shores, that the winds were very close to tornadic activity.

Storm clean-up has continued throughout the week as Saugeen Shores Town staff continue to get to damaged trees that cause a safety issue.
