The annual 'Poppy Campaign' begins Friday, October 30th.
Poppy boxes will be in place at businesses throughout the community and next week every household in the municipality will receive a poppy in the mail. Take a moment to consider a donation to the Kincardine Branch 183 Poppy Campaign. Charitable tax receipts will be issued by the Branch for donations to the Poppy Fund.
Another significant part of the campaign is the purchase of wreaths by area businesses and organizations. These wreaths get laid at the Cenotaph during the Remembrance Day service on November 11th.
For anyone who wants to obtain a wreath contact the Legion at 519-396-2372 or firstname.lastname@example.org by November 6th and we will make the arrangements.
The Poppy Campaign Committee would like to advise that all funds raised are used for Veteran support and services.
Remembrance Day events for this year are as follows:
Sunday, November 8th there will be a Remembrance Day service in Tiverton at 2:00 p.m. followed by our Remembrance Day Banquet at the Kincardine Legion.
