(L) Legion President Marilyn Noble presents donation to Gaye Ashdown and the Cham-bettes

On November 11th, Remembrance Day in Southampton, the Legion branch held an open invitation for lunch following the parade and Cenotaph wreath-laying.

The Chantry Island Cham-bettes, well-known for their charitable work, stepped in to lend a helping hand  and, in appreciation, the Legion branch donated $250 to the group.

The Cham-bettes come from a variety of backgrounds, careers and income but work together with purpose.  They continue to hold events through the year in the community raising funds that all go back into local projects.
