Night Scene in Dehli

Living in Bruce County, it is hard to believe that air can be so foul as to preclude outside activity.

It came as a surprise to me to learn that Dehli has the most polluted air in the world as measured by the World Health Organization.

The emergence of China and India as world powers has made them depend upon coal.  Furthermore, the rapid increase in trucks and cars has caused a crisis.

It is inconceivable that humans may be born and live their entire lives under such conditions.

India is trying, but seems overwhelmed.  The recent conference in Paris bringing together 200 nations finally seems to have some cast some clarity as to mission and timing to combat climate change.

Without agreement by China, India and the United States, it is hopeless.  If emerging nations depend upon fossil fuels, the fragile earth cannot cope.

Living in Dehli is like living on the doorstep of a volcano.

Maybe western technology can help?
